Easy Like Sunday Morning

Sunday mornings around here tend to be quiet, and I get a few (mostly) uninterrupted hours to play or work at my craft table. It is definitely one of my most creative times of the week, and always feels like a luxury. This Sunday I was mired in a larger project, but last week I took the morning to make some barrettes to give as a birthday gift and, of course, some for my pink-loving little girl.

If you have not made these "clippie" style barrettes they are so easy and fun to do! They are also inexpensive. All it takes is a hot glue gun, 3/8" ribbon, metal hair clips and some cute embellishments, I used some buttons from my local big-box craft stores and felt flowers from Oriental Trading Company.
