I am currently floundering about with some ongoing needlework projects. I thought I would just give a quick update, and maybe get myself back on track.
Torah Stitch By Stitch
I put this project down for a while, but finally finished the Taggim (crowns) on the appropriate letters. I am just getting started on the borders and illustrations I designed, and I am looking forward to sharing the results.
Granny Square Afghan
I knew this was a big project, but I really thought it would go pretty quickly. I had almost finished all of the red/pink squares and was not very happy about their shape. I couldn't seem to get them very square, but thought I could solve it with blocking. Then, one day, it clicked! My squares started looking really great. I think I had been increasing in the wrong stitches or something, and I fixed it. So now I am pretty much back to square one (literally!). I need to redo all those squares I've done, because the result will be so much better.
Crochet Doll Clothes
I don't think I have mentioned this on the blog before, but I fell in love with these thread crochet doll clothes for 18" dolls.
Here is the Amazon link, so you can see for yourself how adorable these are!
Unfortunately, I didn't realize that thread crochet is tricky, and it took me a while to get the hang of it. Then I got started on the Torah and afghan projects, so this one has been sitting for a loooong time. I hope I will see it again sometime this year.
Time to start a stitching circle? Maybe we can tackle those UFOs together!
